Modeling Spatial Variation in Leukemia Survival Data

چکیده
In this article we combine ideas from spatial statistics with lifetime data analysis techniques to investigate possible spatial variation in survival of adult acute myeloid leukemia patients in northwest England. Exploratory analysis suggests both clinically and statistically signi cant variation in survival rates across the region. A multivariate gamma frailty model incorporating spatial dependence is proposed and applied, with results con rming the dependence of hazard on location.

Spatial Modeling of Censored Survival Data
An important issue in survival data analysis is the identification of risk factors. Some of these factors are identifiable and explainable by presence of some covariates in the Cox proportional hazard model, while the others are unidentifiable or even immeasurable. Spatial correlation of censored survival data is one of these sources that are rarely considered in the literatures. In this paper,...
متن کاملSpatial Varying Coefficient Regression Model For Relative Risk Factors of Esophageal Cancer Patients
In conventional methods for spatial survival data modeling, it is often assumed that the coefficients of explanatory variables in different regions have a constant effect on survival time. Usually, the spatial correlation of data through a random effect is also included in the model. But in many practical issues, the factors affecting survival time do not have the same effects in different regi...

This paper aims to explain the inequality and imbalance in the developmental levels of 6 selected cities in North Khorasan. The paper seeks to answer these two questions as to whether the spatial and non-spatial indices in regional disparities have an effect on equality? And can we achieve a functional model based on the evaluation of indicators? In order to achieve the goal and the answer to t...
متن کاملEvaluating optimized digital elevation precipitation model using IDW method (Case study: Jam & Riz Watershed of Assaloyeh, Iran)
A watershed management program is usually based on the results of watershed modeling. Accurate modeling results are decided by the appropriate parameters and input data. Precipitation is the most important input for watershed modeling. Precipitation characteristics usually exhibit significant spatial variation, even within small watersheds. Therefore, properly describing the spatial variation o...
متن کاملThe evaluation of Cox and Weibull proportional hazards models and their applications to identify factors influencing survival time in acute leukem
Introduction: The most important models used in analysis of survival data is proportional hazards models. Applying this model requires establishment of the relevance proportional hazards assumption, otherwise it world lead to incorrect inference. This study aims to evaluate Cox and Weibull models which are used in identification of effective factors on survival time in acute leukemia. Me...
